The provisions of the Act will come into force as provided for by section 14 of the Act. Section 14 itself (Commencement) comes into force on Royal Assent. Sections 1 (National Citizen Service Trust), 10 (Definitions), 12 (Transitional Provision), 13 (Extent) and 15 (Short title) also come into force on Royal Assent. The remaining measures in the Act will be brought into force by regulations.
