This Act will create a statutory framework for the National Citizen Service (‘NCS’), with the aim of ensuring proper oversight of the management of public funding for the service. It should be read alongside the Royal Charter (‘the Charter’) that incorporates the body that will deliver NCS, to be known as the NCS Trust. The Act and the Charter work together, and the Act makes provision about the NCS Trust.
