Supplementary provisionsE+W+S

[F1100 Scottish Special Housing Association may act as agents for [F2Relevant Authority]in Scotland.E+W+S

The [F2Relevant Authority] may, on such terms and conditions as may be agreed between it and the Scottish Special Housing Association, authorise the Association to act in Scotland as the agents of the [F2Relevant Authority] for the purpose of carrying out any of the functions vested in the [F2Relevant Authority] under—

(a)section 77 (advisory service),

(b)sections 88 and 89 (powers with respect to land and works), or

(c)paragraph 5 of Schedule 7 (schemes for provision of housing accommodation in place of a housing association).]

101 Minor definitions.E+W+S

In this Part—

  • [F3building society” means a building society within the meaning of the Building Societies Act 1986;]

  • financial year” means the period of 12 months ending with the 31st March;

  • highway”, in relation to Scotland, includes a public right of way;

  • subsidiary” has [F4the meaning given by section 736 of] the Companies Act.
