2. The Scottish Ministers direct that, notwithstanding the adoption of the South Lanarkshire Minerals Local Development Plan(1), the whole provisions of the South Lanarkshire Local Plan(2) shall continue in force to full effect in relation to the area to which the South Lanarkshire Minerals Local Development Plan relates.

The proposed South Lanarkshire Minerals Local Development Plan was published and South Lanarkshire Council’s intention to adopt it was advertised on 18th April 2012 in accordance with section 19(10) of the Town and County Planning (Scotland) Act 1997. The proposed plan can be viewed at http://www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk/info/178/local_statutory_development_plans/826/minerals_local_development_plan.

The South Lanarkshire Local Plan was adopted by South Lanarkshire Council on 23rd March 2009. A copy of the plan can be viewed at http://www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk/info/178/local_statutory_development_plans/39/development.plans/2.
