These Regulations amend the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Prescribed Local Authority Functions etc.) (Scotland) Regulations 2014 to add section 21 of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016 to Part I of the schedule of those Regulations. The functions under section 21 are therefore prescribed for the purpose of section 1(7) of the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014. The effect of this is that functions under section 21 are functions which must be delegated to the bodies responsible for providing integrated health and social care services in local authority areas. These bodies are known as integration joint boards.
Section 21 was inserted into the schedule of the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 by paragraph 6 of the schedule of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016.
