The Department of Education, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Article 33(1) and (3) of the Education Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 1989(1) and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Curriculum (Complaints Tribunals) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st May 1997.
2. In paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the Curriculum (Complaints Tribunals) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992(2), after the words “in writing” there shall be inserted “sent to that board at the address of its headquarters”.

The Curriculum (Complaints Tribunals) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1992 (the 1992 Regulations) made provision for the establishment by education and library boards of Complaints Tribunals to hear and determine complaints made under Article 33 of the Education Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 1989.
These Regulations amend paragraph 1 of Schedule 2 to the 1992 Regulations to provide that a person making such a complaint should send it to a Complaints Tribunal at the address of the headquarters of the appropriate education and library board.
