This is the original version (as it was originally enacted).
And be it enacted, That it shall be lawful for any such Arbitrator so to be appointed as aforesaid, by Summons under his Hand, to require the Attendance of all such Persons as he may think fit to call before him upon any Question or Matter connected with or relating to any Dispute or Difference which may be referred to him, and also to administer Oaths and examine all such Persons upon Oath; or, in lieu of requiring such Oath as aforesaid, the said Arbitrator may, if he thinks fit, require any such Person to take and subscribe a Declaration of the Truth of the Matters respecting which he shall have been or shall be so examined; and the Award of such Arbitrator as aforesaid shall be enforced by an Order for that Purpose made by the Judges of Her Majesty's Court of Exchequer, and in all respects as if the same had been made a Rule of Court as by the Statute is provided, or by the Injunction of the said Court of Exchequer.
