Parliament (Elections and Meeting) Act 1943

1 (1) Any reference to an enactment of the Parliament of the United Kingdom shall be construed as a reference to that enactment as it applies in Northern Ireland, and in particular, but without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing provisions of this paragraph, any reference to section twelve of the principal Act shall be construed as a reference to that section as modified by sub-paragraphs (a) and (c) of paragraph (3) of section forty-four of that Act, and any reference to section sixteen of that Act shall not apply.

(2) Any question as to the council whose duty it is, under subsection (1) of section thirty-one of the principal Act, to divide a constituency into polling districts and to appoint polling places for the polling districts shall be determined as if this Act had not been passed.
