Sections twelve and fifty-one to fifty-four of the Trustee Savings Banks Act, 1863 (which contain certain provisions applicable only to banks in Ireland) are hereby repealed, and so much of any rules of any savings bank as is included therein for the purpose of giving effect to any of the said sections shall cease to have effect:
Provided that the repeal by this section of the said section twelve shall not extend the liability of any trustee or manager who before the passing of this Act has duly declared under the said section twelve that he is willing to be answerable for a specific amount only.
