And whereas by an [48 G. 3. c. 151.] Act of the Forty-eighth Year of His late Majesty, intituled An Act concerning the Administration of Justice in Scotland, and concerning Appeals to the House of Lords, the Judges of either Division are empowered to require the Opinions of the other Division, upon Questions stated in Writing ; be it enacted, That they may on such Occasions also be entitled to require the Opinion of the permanent Ordinaries; and the Judgment to be pronounced in the Cause shall be according to the Opinion of the Majority of all the Judges so consulted, and shall bear that it is the .Judgment of the Division before which the Cause depends after consulting with the other Judges.
