Consumer Rights Act 2015

Commencement

515.The provisions of the Act listed in section 100(2) come into force on the day of Royal Assent. For the most part these are powers to make secondary legislation, but the general provisions in Chapter 6 of Part 3 also come into force on Royal Asset. Chapter 5 of Part 3 comes into force at the end of the period of two months beginning with the day of Royal Assent.

516.The remaining provisions of this Act, apart from Chapters 3 and 4 of Part 3, will come into force on such day as the Secretary of State may appoint by order made by Statutory Instrument. Chapters 3 and 4 will be brought into force by the Secretary of State in relation to England and the Welsh Ministers in relation to Wales. Different days may be appointed for different purposes.
