(1)On the coming into force of a control order no person shall for the purpose of spray irrigation abstract water from the control area, or cause or permit any other person so to abstract water, except in pursuance of a licence under this Act granted by the river purification board concerned and except in accordance with the provisions of that licence, unless the operation of the licence has been suspended by virtue of a declaration made under section 7(2) of this Act.
(2)Any person guilty of a contravention of the provisions of the foregoing subsection shall be liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding £50.
