This is the original version (as it was originally enacted).
Every licence granted under the [32 & 33 Vict. c. 67.] Gun Licence Act, 1870, shall expire on the thirty-first day of July next following the day of the date thereof : Provided, that in the case of any such licence in force at the passing of this Act, or to be granted before the first day of August next after the passing thereof, the same shall not expire until the thirty-first day of July one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four,
