This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 43(1)(a) of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005(1) and all other powers enabling Her Majesty to do so.
Accordingly, Her Majesty is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:
1. This Order may be cited as the Fire and Rescue Authorities (Appointment of Chief Inspector) (Scotland) Order 2009 and comes into force on 11th June 2009.
2. Brian Duncan Fraser, QFSM is appointed as Chief Inspector of Fire and Rescue Authorities for the purposes of section 43(1)(a) of the Fire (Scotland) Act 2005.
