The Scottish Qualifications Authority Act 2002 (“the Act”) received Royal Assent on 6th June 2002. Section 6 came into force on Royal Assent.
This Order brings into force the remaining provisions of the Act, with the exception of section 1(7)(b) (relating to repeal of paragraphs 9(2) and 9(3) of Schedule 1 to the Education (Scotland) Act 1996, which make provision for the payment of pension, and compensation, to the chairman of the Scottish Qualifications Authority).
It brings into force sections 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the Act on 7th August 2002, and section 1 (excepting section 1(7)(b)) on 19th August 2002.
