These Regulations amend the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (General) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994 (“the principal Regulations”) which prescribe the fees for examination and registration, for retention of registration and for annotation of the register, which are to be paid to the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (“the Society”).
Regulation 3 increases the fees in regulation 2 of the principal Regulations in respect of registration as a pharmaceutical chemist and as a student.
Regulation 4 substitutes regulation 4 of the principal Regulations. Under the new provisions, there are no distinct categories of retention fee for non-residents, over 65s and over 70s. The fee in respect of retention as a member of the Society is increased from £372 to £398.
Regulation 5 amends Schedule 2 to the principal Regulations in respect of increasing the fees payable for the registration examination and re-examination.
