1. These Regulations may be cited as The Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 and come into operation on 28th August 2007.
2. The Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954(1) shall apply to these Regulations as it applies to an Act of the Northern Ireland Assembly.
3.—(1) The Export Restrictions (Foot-and-Mouth Disease) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007(2) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 2 (Interpretation) for the definition of “the Decision” substitute—
““the Decision” means Commission Decision 2007/554/EC(3) concerning certain protection measures against foot-and-mouth disease in the United Kingdom as amended by Commission Decision 2007/588/EC(4);”.
(3) In paragraph (2)(a) of regulation 5 (dispatch of meat products) and paragraph (2)(d) of regulation 7 (dispatch of dairy products) for “Great Britain” substitute—
“the protection zones and the surrounding consolidated surveillance zone established in accordance with Article 21 of Directive 2003/85/EC in County Surrey in Great Britain(5)”.
