1. These Regulations amend the Cinematograph (Safety) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1965 to lower the age from twenty-one to eighteen of:
(a)a licensee or a person nominated by the licensee to be responsible for the premises at all times when the public is on the premises (regulations 8(1) and (2) and 45(1));
(b)a person who is responsible for ensuring that electrical installations and equipment in the projection room are kept in good order (regulation 31); and
(c)a person in charge of and present in the projection room whenever inflammable film is being projected (regulation 36(7)(a)).
2. The declaration on costs and benefits relating to these Regulations prepared by the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment is held at the offices of the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland at 83 Ladas Drive, Belfast BT6 9FR, from where copies may be obtained on request.
