9.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2) a person shall not dispose of any catering waste in his possession except by one or more of the following methods:—
(a)disposal in a manner approved by the Department on the premises where the catering waste originated;
(b)disposal to a district council refuse collection centre;
(c)disposal to a refuse disposal agency approved by the Department.
(2) If any provision of this Order is not being complied with or if an inspector considers it necessary for the prevention of diseases of animals, he may serve a notice on any person in possession of catering waste requiring him to dispose of it as may be specified in the notice.
