These Regulations amend the Public Service Vehicles (Conditions of Fitness, Equipment and Use) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 by substituting Schedule 6, which shows the plate to be displayed by a taxi with a taximeter and licensed for public hire. Previously the plate indicated that a vehicle was licensed to carry 6 persons, with a permitted variant of 5 persons. The new plate indicates that a vehicle is licensed to carry 6 persons, with permitted variants of 5 persons, 7 persons or 8 persons.
The Departmental logo shown on the plate has been updated.
