1. These Regulations may be cited as the Fodder Plant Seeds (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1996 and shall come into operation on 23rd August 1996.
2. For sub-paragraph (a) of Part II of Schedule 5 (maximum weight of a seed lot and minimum weight of a submitted sample) to the Fodder Plant Seeds Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1994(1) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph—
“(a)The maximum weight of a seed lot shall be—
(i)for seeds of Hairy vetch and Hungarian vetch, 20 tonnes;
(ii)for seeds of Common vetch, Field bean, Field pea, Narrow-leaved lupin (Blue lupin), White lupin and Yellow lupin, 25 tonnes.”
