This Order increases from £30,000 to £35,000 the limit on the amount of compensation which can be awarded by the Fair Employment Tribunal under section 26(1)(b) of the Fair Employment (Northern Ireland) Act 1976 in claims for unlawful discrimination presented to it under section 24 of that Act.
The increase applies in any case where the Tribunal awards such compensation after 15th March 1994, the date when this Order comes into operation.
