Directive 2014/33/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 February 2014 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to lifts and safety components for lifts (recast) (Text with EEA relevance)

Safety components for lifts shall be subject to one of the following conformity assessment procedures:
the model of the safety component for lifts shall be submitted for EU type examination set out in Annex IV, Part A and the conformity to type shall be ensured with random checking of the safety component for lifts set out in Annex IX;
the model of the safety component for lifts shall be submitted for EU type examination set out in Annex IV, Part A and be subject to conformity to type based on product quality assurance in accordance with Annex VI;
conformity based on full quality assurance set out in Annex VII.
