EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004 (“the principal Regulations”).

Regulation 2(2) amends Schedule 5 to the principal Regulations so that the building standard in paragraph 6.1 (carbon dioxide emissions) applies to extensions to non-domestic buildings where the size of the extension will be greater than 100 square metres and 25% of the existing building.
