The Department of Finance and Personnel makes the following Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 3(4) and (7) of the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972(1) and now vested in it(2).

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Superannuation (Assembly Ombudsman for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Complaints) Order (Northern Ireland) 2015, shall come into operation on 21st October 2015 and shall have effect from 1st July 2015.

Addition to list of employments

2.  There shall be added to the kinds of employment listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972, employment by the Assembly Ombudsman for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Complaints(3).

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order adds employment by the Assembly Ombudsman for Northern Ireland and the Northern Ireland Commissioner for Complaints to the kinds of employment listed in Schedule 1 to the Superannuation (Northern Ireland) Order 1972, for which the Department of Finance and Personnel may make pension schemes. It has retrospective effect from 1 July 2015 by virtue of Article 3(7) of the 1972 Order.
