15.Mae'r adran hon yn disodli'r pŵer ymyrryd yn adran 16A o Ddeddf 1998. Mae'n darparu i awdurdodau lleol bŵer i benodi corff llywodraethu a gyfansoddwyd yn arbennig yn lle'r llywodraethwyr presennol mewn ysgol pan fo gan yr awdurdod lleol bŵer i ymyrryd. Gelwir y corff llywodraethu a gyfansoddwyd yn arbennig yn fwrdd gweithrediaeth interim a bydd yn cymryd drosodd y gwaith o redeg yr ysgol. Mae Atodlen 1 yn gwneud darpariaeth bellach ynghylch byrddau gweithrediaeth interim.
