Mae'r Gorchymyn hwn, a wnaed o dan adran 28(3) o Ddeddf Prentisiaethau, Sgiliau, Plant a Dysgu 2009 ("y Ddeddf"), yn rhoi effaith i fanyleb safonau prentisiaethau Cymru.
Mae'r Gorchymyn yn pennu bod y ddogfen o'r enw "The Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for Wales (SASW)" ("y ddogfen") yn cael effaith. Lluniwyd y ddogfen gan Weinidogion Cymru yn unol â'r gweithdrefnau yn adran 28 o'r Ddeddf..
Mae'r ddogfen yn pennu'r gofynion y mae'n rhaid eu bodloni er mwyn i'r fframweithiau Cymreig cydnabyddedig gael eu dyroddi o dan adran 19(1) o'r Ddeddf.
