Sefydlodd Gorchymyn Cyngor Addysgu Cyffredinol Cymru 1998 (“Gorchymyn 1998”) Gyngor Addysgu Cyffredinol Cymru a rhoi effaith i nifer o adrannau o Ddeddf Addysgu ac Addysg Uwch 1998 mewn perthynas â'r corff hwnnw. Mae'r Gorchymyn hwn yn diwygio Gorchymyn 1998 o ganlyniad i Ddeddf Addysg 2011, sy'n darparu ar gyfer diddymu Cyngor Addysgu Cyffredinol Lloegr.
Mae erthygl 2 o'r Gorchymyn hwn yn diwygio Gorchymyn 1998 fel bod cyfeiriad at Gyngor Addysgu Cyffredinol Lloegr yn cael ei hepgor.
