Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn, a wnaed o dan adrannau 29(3), 408, 537, 537A(1) a (2) a 569(4) a (5) o Ddeddf Addysg 1996, yn gymwys o ran ysgolion yng Nghymru. Mae'r Rheoliadau'n ymwneud â chasglu gwybodaeth am berfformiad ysgolion.

Darpariaethau cyffredinol sydd yn Rhan 1 o'r Rheoliadau.

Mae Rhan 2 yn gosod dyletswyddau ar benaethiaid ysgolion a gynhelir i sicrhau bod gwybodaeth ar gael i gyrff llywodraethu er mwyn eu galluogi i gydymffurfio â'u rhwymedigaethau o dan y Rheoliadau hyn (rheoliad 4).

Mae Rhan 3 yn cynnwys darpariaethau manwl sy'n ymwneud â darparu gwybodaeth i'r awdurdod lleol a Gweinidogion Cymru.

Rhaid i gyrff llywodraethu ysgolion a gynhelir ddarparu gwybodaeth i awdurdodau lleol ynghylch canlyniadau asesu'r cyfnod sylfaen, cyfnod allweddol dau a chyfnod allweddol tri (rheoliad 5 ac Atodlen 2).

Rhaid i'r awdurdod lleol ddarparu gwybodaeth i Weinidogion Cymru ynghylch canlyniadau asesu'r cyfnod sylfaen, cyfnod allweddol dau a chyfnod allweddol tri ar bob disgybl cofrestredig yn y cyfnod sylfaen, cyfnod allweddol dau a chyfnod allweddol tri yn yr ysgolion a gynhelir gan yr awdurdod lleol (rheoliad 6 ac Atodlen 2).

Rhaid i gyrff llywodraethu ysgolion a gynhelir a pherchenogion ysgolion arbennig nas cynhelir ac ysgolion annibynnol a chanddynt ddisgyblion 15, 16, 17 neu 18 oed ddarparu gwybodaeth benodedig i Weinidogion Cymru am eu canlyniadau (rheoliad 7 ac Atodlen 3).

Rhaid i gyrff llywodraethu ysgolion a gynhelir a pherchenogion ysgolion annibynnol ac ysgolion arbennig nas cynhelir ddarparu gwybodaeth i'r awdurdod lleol am absenoldebau awdurdodedig ac absenoldebau heb eu hawdurdodi (rheoliad 8).
