Mae erthygl 3 o'r Gorchymyn hwn yn darparu ar gyfer tymor caeëdig mewn perthynas â physgota cregyn bylchog yng Nghymru yn ystod y cyfnod o 1 Tachwedd 2009 i 28 Chwefror 2010.
Mae erthygl 4 yn gosod pwerau swyddogion pysgodfeydd môr Prydeinig mewn perthynas â'r Gorchymyn hwn, yn ychwanegol at eu pwerau o dan Ddeddf Pysgod Môr (Cadwraeth) 1967 (“y Ddeddf”). Dylid nodi hefyd, yn rhinwedd adran 5(6) o'r Ddeddf (fel y'i diwygiwyd gan adran 22(2) o Ddeddf Pysgodfeydd 1981), os, yn ystod unrhyw weithrediadau pysgota a ddigwydd yng Nghymru, caiff pysgod môr (gan gynnwys pysgod cregyn) eu dal yn groes i'r Gorchymyn hwn, ac os cânt eu cymryd ar fwrdd cwch pysgota y mae'r Gorchymyn hwn yn gymwys iddo, rhaid dychwelyd y pysgod môr hynny i'r môr ar unwaith (yn ddarostyngedig i adran 9 o'r Ddeddf).
Mae erthygl 5 yn dirymu Gorchymyn Pysgota am Gregyn Bylchog (Cymru) 2005.
Gwnaed asesiad effaith rheoleiddiol mewn cysylltiad â'r Gorchymyn hwn ac mae ar gael i'w archwilio yn swyddfeydd Llywodraeth Cynulliad Cymru, Parc Cathays, Caerdydd, CF10 3NQ.
