Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn, sy'n gymwys o ran Cymru, yn rhoi yn lle'r cyfeiriadau at Gyfarwyddeb y Cyngor 89/48/EEC yn Rheoliadau Addysg (Cymwysterau Athrawon Ysgol) (Cymru) 2004 a Rheoliadau Addysg (Trefniadau Ymsefydlu ar gyfer Athrawon Ysgol) (Cymru) 2005 gyfeiriadau at Reoliadau'r Cymunedau Ewropeaidd (Cydnabod Cymwysterau Proffesiynol) 2007 (“y Rheoliadau”). Mae'r Rheoliadau yn rhoi ar waith Gyfarwyddeb y Cyngor 2005/36/EC ar gydnabod cymwysterau proffesiynol ac yn disodli Cyfarwyddeb flaenorol y Cyngor ynghylch y Systemau Cyffredinol cyntaf, ail a thrydydd ar gydnabod cymwysterau proffesiynol yn gilyddol.
Mae'r Rheoliadau hyn hefyd yn rhoi yn lle'r cyfeiriad yn Rheoliadau Cymwysterau a Chofrestru Prifathrawon (Cymru) 2005 at Reoliadau'r Cymunedau Ewropeaidd (Cydnabod Cymwysterau Proffesiynol) (Y System Gyffredinol Gyntaf) 2005 gyfeiriad at Reoliadau'r Cymunedau Ewropeaidd (Cydnabod Cymwysterau Proffesiynol) 2005.
