The Dudley Integrated Health and Care National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2024

NHS England with the approval of the Secretary of State of Health and Social Care makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 272(7) and (8) of, and paragraph 28(1) of Schedule 4 to, the National Health Service Act 2006(1).

NHS England makes this Order on the application of Dudley Integrated Health and Care National Health Service Trust.

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Dudley Integrated Health and Care National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2024 and comes into force on 1st October 2024.

Dissolution

2.  The Dudley Integrated Health and Care National Health Service Trust is dissolved.

Revocation

3.  The Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 2008 and The Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership National Health Service Trust (Establishment) (Amendment) Order 2020(2) are revoked.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

Article 2 of this Order provides for the dissolution on 1st October 2024 of the Dudley Integrated Health and Care National Health Service Trust (“the trust”).

Article 3 revokes the Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership National Health Service Trust (Establishment) Order 2008 that established the trust on 1st October 2008. The trust's name changed to Dudley Integrated Health and Care National Health Service Trust on 1st August 2020.

An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the public, private or voluntary sector is foreseen.

2006 c. 41. Paragraph 28(1) was amended by section 58(1) and 58(5)(a)(i) of the Health and Care Act 2022 (2022 c.31) (“the 2022 Act”) and provides for NHS England to have the power to dissolve an NHS trust.

S.I. 2008/2431. Amended by The Dudley and Walsall Mental Health Partnership National Health Service Trust (Establishment) (Amendment) Order 2020 (S.I. 2020/768) which changed the name of the NHS trust to Dudley Integrated Health and Care National Health Service Trust.
