These Regulations are the second commencement regulations made under the Professional Qualifications Act 2022 (c. 20) (“the Act”).
They bring into force on 31st December 2022 section 11(4) and (5) of the Act. Those provisions amend the Architects Act 1997 (c. 22) so that the Architects Registration Board may require a person wishing to register as an architect in the UK on the basis of their overseas qualifications or experience to sit a test, undertake training or meet another condition. The provisions also make related consequential amendments to the Architects Act 1997.
