1.   By way of derogation from Article 40(1) of Regulation (EU) 2016/2031(16), as read with entry 17 of the table in Part A of Annex 6 to Regulation (EU) 2019/2072(17), competent authorities may authorise the introduction into their territory of potatoes specified in that table where they originate in the regions of Akkar and Bekaa of Lebanon, and satisfy the conditions set out in the Annex to this Decision.
