These Regulations raise the minimum age at which a National Lottery ticket may be sold by or to a person from 16 to 18. Restrictions on sales of National Lottery tickets by vending machines are also amended to reflect this increased minimum age.
An impact assessment which analyses the effect that these Regulations will have on the costs of business and those of the voluntary and the public sectors has been produced by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. The impact assessment and the Explanatory Memorandum are available online alongside this instrument on legislation.gov.uk , and copies can be obtained from the Department at 100 Parliament Street, London SW1A 2BQ.
