The Secretary of State makes this Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 65 of the Communications Act 2003(1).
The Secretary of State has consulted OFCOM and such other persons as he considers appropriate in accordance with section 65(4).
2003 c. 21. Section 65 was amended by the Electronic Communications and Wireless Telegraphy Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/2010), the Treaty of Lisbon (Changes in Terminology) Order 2011 (S.I. 2011/1043) and section 1 of the Digital Economy Act 2017 (c. 30).
