3. Regulation 7 (prevention or control of exposure to substances hazardous to health) of the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health 2002(1) is amended as follows—
(a)in paragraph (9)(a) for “provision in the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 2002” substitute “legal requirement”; and
(b)after paragraph (11) insert—
“(12) In paragraph (9)(a), “legal requirement” means any requirement of the Personal Protective Equipment Regulations 2002 or Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of the European Parliament and of the Council on personal protective equipment and repealing Council Directive 89/686/EEC (OJ No L81, 31.3.2016, p51).”.
