4.—(1) In section 87 of the Representation of the People Act 1983 (court’s power to require information from election agent or sub-agent)(1), in subsection (3), omit the words from “not exceeding” to the end of the subsection.
(2) The amendment made by paragraph (1) does not affect fines for failure to comply with orders under section 87 that are made before these Regulations come into force.
Section 87(3) was amended by the Representation of the People Act 1985 (c.50), section 24 and Schedule 4, paragraph 31.
