EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations amend the Concessionary Bus Travel (Permits) (England) Regulations 2008 to allow concessionary bus travel permits to incorporate electronic chips in the latest format issued by ITSO Limited. Passes may continue to incorporate older chips that are compatible with the latest format.
Details of the format of the specified electronic chip may be obtained from ITSO Limited, whose registered office is 4th Floor, Quayside Tower, 252-260 Broad Street, Birmingham, West Midlands, B1 2HF and may also be viewed at–

A full regulatory impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on local authorities, the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
