The Lower Severn Internal Drainage Board Order 2005

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order confirms (with modifications) a Scheme submitted by the Environment Agency for the abolition, on a date one month after the confirmation of this Order, of the Lower Severn Internal Drainage Board, the North Gloucestershire Internal Drainage Board and the Longdon and Eldersfield Drainage Commissioners.

A new “Lower Severn (2005) Internal Drainage Board” replaces these boards. The three former internal drainage districts are amalgamated to form the corresponding new internal drainage district.

Maps of the three internal drainage districts amalgamated by virtue of the Scheme are available for inspection during office hours at the offices of the the Environment Agency at Sapphire East, 550 Streetsbrook Road, Solihull B91 1QT and Riversmeet House, Newtown Industrial Estate, Northway Lane, Tewkesbury GL20 8JG; and at the offices of Lower Severn Internal Drainage Board at Waterside Buildings, Oldbury Naithe, Thornbury, South Gloucestershire BS35 1RF.
