This Order brings into force on 1st April 2002 the provisions of Part 4 (police training) of the Criminal Justice and Police Act 2001, and the associated schedules to the Act, which are not currently in force. It brings into being the Central Police Training and Development Authority which will provide police training and promote best practice in policing matters generally.
Article 3 brings into force on 2nd April section 45 of the Act, which makes provision for confidentiality orders in relation to the addresses of directors and secretaries of companies.
