Explanatory Note
(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order applies to the borough of Poole with the exception of the following roads:
(a)the A31 road, known as the Wimborne Minster By-Pass, for its entire length within the Borough of Poole;
(b)the A350 road, from its junction with the A3049 road to its junction with the B3093 road, the B3093 road being known as the Wimborne Road;
(c)the A3049 road from the borough boundary to its junction with the A348 road;
(d)the A348 road, known as the Ringwood Road, from its junction with the A3049 at Canford Way to its junction with the A3049 at the Wallisdown Road;
(e)the A35 road, known as the Wessex Way, from its junction with Poole Road to the boundary with the borough of Bournemouth.
The Order designates the Borough of Poole as both a permitted parking area and a special parking area in accordance with Schedule 3 to the Road Traffic Act 1991. It also applies with modifications various provisions of Part II of that Act to the designated area and modifies the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 in relation to the designated area.
