The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 708(1) and (2) of the Companies Act 1985(1), as applied to limited liability partnerships by regulation 4 of and Schedule 2 to the Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations 2001(2), hereby makes the following Regulations:

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Limited Liability Partnerships (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2002 and shall come into force on 1st January 2003.

2.  In these Regulations, the “2001 Regulations” shall mean the Limited Liability Partnerships (Fees) (No. 2) Regulations 2001(3).

3.  The Schedule to the 2001 Regulations is amended by substituting, in respect of entry 6(a), the sum of £3.00 for the sum specified in relation to that entry in the second column of the Schedule to the 2001 Regulations.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

1.  The Regulations amend the Limited Liability Partnerships (Fees) (No. 2) Regulations 2001, which require the payment of fees in respect of functions performed by the registrar of companies in relation to limited liability partnerships under the Limited Liability Partnership Act 2000 and the Companies Act 1985 as applied to limited liability partnerships by regulation 4 of and Schedule 2 to the Limited Liability Partnerships Regulations 2001.

2.  As a result of the amendment to entry 6(a) of the Schedule to the Limited Liability Partnerships (Fees) (No. 2) Regulations 2001, the fee for a paper copy of a document relating to a limited liability partnership delivered by post is now £3.00.
