The Secretary of State for Wales, in exercise of the power conferred on him by section 143(1) of the Government of Wales Act 1998(1) and being satisfied that the duties of Housing for Wales under section 142 of the said Act have been discharged, hereby makes the following Order:–
1. This Order may be cited as the Housing for Wales (Abolition) Order 1999 and shall come into force on 31st March 1999.
2. On the coming into force of this Order Housing for Wales shall cease to exist.
