This Order brings into force—
(a)on 25th October 1999, the provisions of the Employment Relations Act 1999 specified in Part I of Schedule 1 to the Order, which include provisions relating to agreements to exclude unfair dismissal rights, amounts of awards for unfair dismissal, ACAS and the Certification Officer, subject to the transitional and saving provisions in paragraphs 1 to 9 of Schedule 3 to the Order;
(b)on 15th December 1999, the provisions of the Act specified in Part II of Schedule 1 to the Order (provisions relating to leave for family reasons, etc.), subject to the transitional provisions in paragraphs 10 and 11 of Schedule 3 to the Order.
