The A627(M) (Rochdale—Lancashire/Yorkshire Motorway (M62)—Oldham) Special Roads Scheme 1989

1.  The Secretary of State is authorised to provide along the routes described in the Schedule to this Scheme and shown on the deposited plan (where a reference letter is given to each route) special roads for the use of traffic of Classes I and II of the classes of traffic set out in Schedule 4 to the Highways Act 1980.

2.  The centre line of each of those special roads is indicated by a heavy black line on the deposited plan.

3.  In this Scheme

(1) all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway; and

(2) (i) “the deposited plan” means the plan folio numbered NWRT 5084/80/1(1) and NWRT 5083/80/2(1) marked “The A627(M) (Rochdale—Lancashire/Yorkshire Motorway (M62)—Oldham) Special Roads Scheme 1989”, signed by authority of the Secretary of State and deposited at the Department of Transport, Romney House, 43 Marsham Street, London SW1P 3PY.

(ii) “the Motorway” means route A and route B described in the Schedule hereto.

(iii) “the special roads” means the special roads which the Secretary of State is authorised by this scheme to provide; and a reference to a route followed by a letter in relation to one of the special roads is a reference to the route as lettered on the deposited plan.

4.  This Scheme shall come into force on 1st April 1989 and may be cited as the A627(M) (Rochdale—Lancashire/Yorkshire Motorway (M62)—Oldham) Special Roads Scheme 1989.
