The Commissioners of Customs and Excise, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by section 10(3) of the Finance Act 1981, hereby make the following Order:—
1. This Order may be cited as the Finance Act 1981 (Import Procedures) (Commencement) Order 1982.
2. Subsection (1) of section 10 of the Finance Act 1981 shall come into force on 1st April 1982.

This Order brings into force on 1st April 1982 all the amendments to the Customs and Excise Management Act 1979 (c.2) which are specified in Schedule 6 to the Finance Act 1981. The effect of the amendments is to modify import procedures.
