[F2(1)]It shall be lawful to [F3register in the Land Register of Scotland or as the case may be ] record in the general register of sasines in Scotland, . . . F4 probative leases, whether executed before or after the passing of this Act, for a period [F5exceeding twenty years], of lands and heritages in Scotland . . . F6 and to [F7register or record assignations and translations of such leases], all herein-after mentioned.
[F8(2)In subsection (1) above, the expression “lands and heritages in Scotland” is, without prejudice to its generality, to be construed as including the seabed of the territorial sea of the United Kingdom adjacent to Scotland.]
