Annex A - Territorial extent and application in the United Kingdom
- Section 54 sets out the territorial extent of the sections in the Act. The extent of an Act is the legal jurisdiction where it forms part of the law. The extent of an Act can be different from its application. Application refers to where it has practical effect.
- All of the provisions in the Media Act extend and apply to the whole of the United Kingdom, with the exception of section 50, which extends and applies to England and Wales.1
