The Animals (Penalty Notices) Act ("the Act") makes provisions for and in connection with the giving of fixed penalty notices for offences in relation to animals, animal products and animal by-products.
This introduces a new system of proportionate, consistent, and targeted financial penalties for breaches of animal health, biosecurity, and welfare regulations.
